Text Box: The Student Leadership Services, Inc. (SLS) Student Advisory Board (SAB) members represent one of the largest and strongest youth-led prevention collaborations in the country 595 chapters, clubs, and organizations with over 25,000 student leaders. The SAB was originally formed in 1986 to provide student input and direction for the SLS programs. Each year, these 15-20 student leaders take a stand against alcohol and other drug use among young people. Leadership skill building as well as showing others how to resist peer pressure is also a major focus of the Board. They teach tobacco use prevention, drinking and driving prevention, and safety belt awareness to their peers and younger students.
